Chapter Philanthropy and Service
The most important aspect of Zeta Tau Alpha and what binds us to one another is our love for our philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. What differs our philanthropy from other philanthropy’s on campus is we are able to see a direct impact of what our fundraising does to the survivors, the fighters and the community of supporters around them. Breast Cancer is a disease that not only affects the victim, but everyone around them. As a community of women who can all relate to this disease we put our full effort into helping make a difference and raising money to find a cure and to also relieve the financial burden.
Often times you will see us around campus, handing out our signature Think Pink ribbons spreading awareness to those who have been affected around us. Although we support and fundraise for our philanthropy year round, we do host a philanthropy week every semester where we hold events such as give backs at various businesses around Boise, host our Mr. Think Pink competition where men compete to be our sweethearts, table in the quad as well as the infamous Pie-a-Zeta. Last year we were able to fundraise over $20,000 for our philanthropy and can’t wait to outdo that number this year!!
This year we are extremely proud to announce our partnership with Making Strides of Boise as they host their first annual breast cancer walk. Click the link in our bio on instagram to find out more, and how you can make a direct impact to our philanthropy.
